As evidenced with numerous lawsuits around the country in recent elections, integrity at the ballot box has become concerning in the United States. There have been multiple cases of illegal aliens voting, some people voting twice, or even thousands of deceased people voting in elections. All of it in efforts to tamper with results and try to gain power. Usually, these 3 am sudden spikes only benefit Democrats. Which has raised eyebrows of many.
So, to ensure election integrity, something Democrats typically whine about, Congress has recently been trying to scrub dead people from the voter rolls. Seems logical enough. People that are deceased are not able to vote, and therefore, no longer have a vote. But because Democrats have no sense of logic, they are resisting any effort to do so.
Why be against such a basic thing? Beth Brejle of The Federalist says there is no reason to be against something like this, unless it is for nefarious activity.
"The only way someone could be opposed to cleaning the voter rolls is if you are going to cheat," she says.
As mentioned, it has not been just dead people casting votes in elections. Illegal immigrants have been doing so. There have been cases of people doing so twice, and there have been no real repercussions for it.
"There have been a lot of changes to our election rules. They have made it easier and easier to become a registered voter...once you are on, as long as it does not get cleaned, it gets a little less accurate, unless local officials are cleaning them," says Brejle.
Democrats suddenly in 2025 have been calling for election integrity, swearing up and down that President Trump cheated in 2024. Ignoring the fact there was blatant questionable voting patterns and malpractice at voting centers in 2020 that allowed Joe Biden to take office.
But they have been calling recently all about voter integrity, and claiming Republicans do nothing but suppress the vote. They also say that Republicans are the bad guys, and they are removing legal voters off the rolls. None of which could be further from the truth.
"Republicans are not trying to throw legitimate voters off the voting list...they are trying to make sure the rolls are accurate," Brejle says.
Brejle adds that lax consequences for states who do not prove they cleaned voter rolls is worsening the problem.
