Despite all of the actions taken by the Trump administration, a new report shows that anti-Semitism on campuses across the U.S., remains rampant.
"It's really very, very troubling that this can be happening in our country only 80 years after the Holocaust" said Tom Lindsay, higher education policy director with the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
According to new data from the Anti-Defamation League, anti-Semitic incidents went up again in 2024.
"There were 9,354 anti-Semitic incidents nationwide last year, up 893% over the last decade" Lindsay told KTRH, while noting that college campuses continue to be at the heart of this evil bigotry with 1,694 incidents last year, which is a spike of 84%.
One of the big reasons why? It all starts with DEI.
"DEI teaches that the world is divided between oppressors and the oppressed" Lindsay said, "The folks who teach DEI have decided that Jews are members of the 'oppressor' class, and therefore bring this violence on themselves."
Thankfully, here in Texas, lawmakers have passed legislation to try and stop the hate. But there is still more work to be done.
"The only way we're going to restore some sanity, is to remind people this is a country that was established as a rejection of religious bigotry" noted Lindsay.
A very important reminder with the new school year starting next month.
