UPDATE:
The FBI says they have caught the suspect in the threat.
In a statement, the FBI said the suspect was located in another state. They were arrested based on statements they made while being questioned by authorities.
ORIGINAL STORY:
After a violent threat, the San Antonio Jewish Community Center has been shut down for the day.
The Barshop Jewish Community Center released a statement:
"We're focused on our community's wellbeing and safety at the moment, and are in contact with local and federal law enforcement, who are monitoring the situation closely,"
An email also went out from the staff to parents saying, "I need to make you aware that SAPD informed us that a threat to the Jewish community was made this morning and the individual is believed to be in San Antonio. SAPD and local FBI are working closely with the Jewish community staff and will keep us informed. We are in continuous contact with local and federal law enforcement. SAPD has dispatched additional personnel to be on Campus today."
The email went on to explain that in accordance with FBI and SAPD recommendations, the JCC and camp would be closing for the day, and parents should return immediately to pick up their children.
