In more damage done by the weaponized Biden DOJ, a Texas political consultant has been sentenced to more than 7 years in federal prison in Florida, for something that isn't even a crime.
They first tried to charge Michael Shirley with bribery, but that didn't work. So Biden's DOJ went with a deep overreach.
"He was convicted under 'honest services fraud', even though no bribe was proven, no money was stolen, and no public official ever claimed they were deceived" said Mackenzie Kelly, a former Austin City Council member who is a friend and former colleague. She says Shirley did honest contract work for a Florida public official, and his arrest and conviction were political retaliation.
"We need reforms to prevent federal prosecutors from using vague laws to punish to political adversaries" Kelly told KTRH.
It's something that should alarm us all, and she has reached out to the Trump administration for help.
