A convicted murderer is caught trying to sneak into Texas while on a train from Mexico.
In a post to X, Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials said they arrested the criminal alien, who was previously deported, after he was found hiding in a train approximately 50 miles inland from the U.S.-Mexico border. Uvalde Station agents found the man while doing a routine check.
Officials have not disclosed his name, nationality, or other information, but the man has a criminal history that dates back to 2012 and includes a murder in North Carolina.
The criminal alien will be referred to the Department of Justice for prosecution for illegal re-entry after removal as a convicted felon. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
