'Sad Cavalcade': Dems Called Out By Their Own

The Democrats' temper tantrum during President Trump's Address to Congress last week has earned them resounding criticism and rebuke from their political opponents. But now, even some of their own colleagues are calling out the antics. Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman lit up his own party, describing their actions during the speech as "a sad cavalcade of self owns and unhinged petulance." Fetterman went on to say of Democrats, "We're becoming the metaphorical car alarm that nobody pays attention to -- and it may not be the winning message."

Perhaps the most egregious example of Dems' 'unhinged petulance' was their refusal to stand or applaud for DJ Daniel, a 13-year-old cancer patient who was made an honorary Secret Service agent. Fetterman tells Fox News Digital that should have been a unifying moment. "I have a 13-year-old myself, and thank God she's never had cancer, but I think that's something we can all celebrate," he says. "I think it was a touching moment, and that's part of the best of the American experience."

Fetterman is one of only a few Democrats who so far have been willing to call out their behavior during the speech. Democratic strategist Symone Sanders told MSNBC, "This is an indictment, in my opinion, on the Democratic leadership," adding, "these visuals are not taking back the House in 2026."

California Democrat Congressman Ami Bera didn't attend the speech because he didn't want to be associated with what the Democrats were doing. "I saw my colleagues and what they were going to do, and just didn't want to be a part of that," he said.

With Congressional Democrats' approval rating at 21% before the speech, this may mark a new all-time low for the party. "The Democrat party isn't just in search of leadership, it's in search of an identity," says KTRH's Buck Sexton in an interview with Fox News. "This is why the Democrats are in the worst position in the polls that they've been in this century. They've earned this."
