Court Orders Biden Administration to Stop Selling Border Wall Materials

A court has ordered the Biden administration to stop selling off border wall materials.

On Friday, the Biden administration said it has agreed to the court order and will not sell off any more materials over the next 30 days. President Biden had allowed for the border wall pieces to be sold on auction marketplaces since at least 2023 and wanted to get rid of as much as possible ahead of the incoming Trump administration.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said the state will work to help President-elect Trump build the wall at the southern border when he takes office next month.

"We have successfully blocked the Biden Administration from disposing of any further border wall materials before President Trump takes office," Paxton said in a news release. "This follows our major victory forcing Biden to build the wall, and we will hold his Administration accountable for illegally subverting our Nation’s border security until their very last day in power."

Last week, President-elect Trump Trump filed an amicus brief to 'immediately' stop the Biden sale of border wall materials, saying the move "likely constitutes a criminal act."

The Biden administration put an end to border wall construction in January 2021 after 450 miles had been built during Trump's first term.
