Although no official timetable has been given, Texas Senator Ted Cruz says the U.S. Southern border will be secure in a matter of months, not years. Cruz told Newsmax on Wednesday that one Trump takes office, the border will be secure.
Cruz says we’ll see it in January and February, “And the reason I say that with absolute confidence is when Trump was president, last time, I worked hand-in-hand with him to secure the border and we produced the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years,”.
Senator Cruz also praised Trump’s selection of Tom Homan as “Border Czar”, with Cruz adding “He understands his mission very clearly, which is to secure the border to solve this problem.”
The Texas senator says for immigration to change, policies, such as “catch as release” must change and Donald Trump can do that on day one.
