Donald Trump can't start his mass deportation program until January. Texas Governor Greg Abbott isn't willing to wait.

"We're going to be putting more buoys into the Rio Grande," Abbott told Sean Hannity on Fox News, adding that the floating border wall will be strengthened beginning on Wednesday.

That is not the only move Texas is making to assist the new administration in the mass deportation program.

The Texas General Land Office is offering President-elect Donald Trump a 1,400-acre Starr County ranch as a site to build detention centers for his promised mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, according to a letter the office sent him Tuesday. There is no word yet if the new administration as accepted.
