Greg Abbott is continuing to push back against Chinese attempts to encroach on Texas. He has now issued an executive order calling on officials to prepare for potential attacks by the People's Republic of China and the CCP against our critical infrastructure.

Both the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) have been instructed to create task forces to survey state and local governments and identify potential points of vulnerability that could be exploited by the PRC and CCP.

Abbott said in a statement, "Texas will continue to protect our critical infrastructure to ensure the safety of Texans from potential threats by the Chinese Communist Party or any hostile foreign government."

Both the TDEM and the PUC have also been instructed to simulate cyberattacks against various key sectors of the Texas economy, develop policies to defend against them, and simulate a complete restart of the Texas power grid.
