Today marks the anniversary of an infamous day in San Antonio history. On February 19th, 1982, police arrested rock star Ozzy Osbourne for relieving himself on the Alamo Cenotaph. Osbourne bonded out of jail for $40, then performed before a sold-out crowd at HemisFair Arena that night. The city barred Osbourne from performing at any city-owned venue for ten-years. In 1992, he publicly apologized and donated $10,000 to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. He performed in San Antonio later that year.
