Uvalde City Council is discussing upgrades to physical fitness requirements for the Uvalde Police Department. Police Chief Daniel Rodriguez says he's asking for guidance on the subject from the Texas Department of Public Safety. At Tuesday evening's meeting, the council also accepted a donation from the Texas National Emergency Number Association for a renovation of the police communication center, which should be finished in October. Council members also discussed the headstones for the 21 Robb Elementary shooting victims.
