1 Mother Allegedly "Invested" In Lindsay Clancy Trial Charged With Murdering Her Two-Year-Old
An Illinois mother has been charged with murder after prosecutors say she killed her 2-year-old son while closely following the Lindsay Clancy murder trial in Massachusetts. Forty-year-old Corie Walsh is accused of killing her son Barrett at their home in Frankfort on September 1st. According to court documents, Walsh was found upstairs and allegedly told officers that she had harmed her son because she believed he was the "devil" and the "anti-Christ." Another infant who was inside the home was not hurt. Witnesses told investigators that Walsh had recently become very interested in the Clancy case and was discussing it with friends by text as late as three and a half hours before her son was found.
2 Victims Of Amazon-Branded Plane Crash In Miami Were In A Van And An SUV
The five people killed when an Amazon-branded cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport were all inside vehicles struck by the aircraft, investigators say. The Boeing 767, operated by 21 Air for Amazon, overran the runway Sunday while arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico. It hit a cleaning company van carrying seven people, broke through the airport fence and then struck an SUV on a nearby road. Five other people were injured in the incident when the plane traveled about 1,300 feet beyond the paved runway. Investigators have recovered the flight data and cockpit voice recorders and are examining the plane’s speed, braking, weather conditions, and other possible causes.
3 Armed Man Arrested For Allegedly Charging Toward Democratic Ohio Gubernatorial Candidate Amy Acton
An armed man was arrested after authorities say he rushed toward Democratic Ohio governor candidate Amy Acton during a campaign stop at the Canfield Fair on Sunday. Police say 38-year-old Patrick Havas shoved through the crowd while holding up a cellphone, knocking down several people, including two older adults using mobility scooters. Acton’s security team stopped him before he reached her, and she was not injured. Authorities say Havas had two handguns and brass knuckles, which are legal to carry in Ohio. He faces two misdemeanor assault charges and one disorderly conduct charge.
