1 Death Toll In Texas Floods Over 100 With Dozens Still Missing

The death toll continues to rise in Texas. Flash floods along the Guadalupe River killed at least 104 people and left more than 40 others missing after torrents of rain before dawn Friday sent the water up 26 feet in just 45 minutes. The hardest-hit spot is Camp Mystic near Hunt, where cabins filled with 750 girls were swept away; officials say 27 campers and counselors are confirmed dead, and 10 girls plus one counselor are still unaccounted for. Crews have carried out over 160 air rescues and saved hundreds more by boat, high-water truck and helicopter. Governor Greg Abbott and President Trump issued disaster declarations, freeing up state and federal help, and the Coast Guard says one rescue swimmer alone pulled 165 people from danger. Search teams using dogs, drones, and divers are working around the clock, fearing more storms could push the river higher again. Families of missing girls are waiting at reunification centers while volunteer groups rush food, water, and grief counselors to the devastated Hill Country.

2 Justice Department Says In Memo That Epstein Client List Doesn't Exist

There’s controversy in the world of MAGA. The Justice Department now says financier Jeffrey Epstein kept no “client list,” contradicting repeated claims by Attorney General Pam Bondi, who had told Fox News such a document was “sitting on my desk.” In a two-page memo co-signed by the FBI, officials said no further Epstein records will be released, arguing most evidence is sealed to protect victims and that airing more files would do “no good.” The department did post jail footage it says proves Epstein died by suicide in 2019. Bondi’s earlier promises of big disclosures had fueled hopes on social media for new names; after Monday’s reversal, conservative influencers such as Jack Posobiec and Elon Musk blasted the decision as a cover-up. The memo notes agents hold more than 10-thousand images and videos of child sexual abuse but stresses that spreading unfounded theories “helps no one.” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt later said Bondi had been referring to the case file in general, not a specific list.

3 Trump And Netanyahu Meet In Washington On Ceasefire With Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Washington yesterday afternoon for a White House meeting with President Trump to discuss a possible ceasefire deal in Gaza. Netanyahu said he believes Trump "can definitely help advance this outcome" and thanked him for supporting Israel during its recent 12-day war with Iran. Trump told reporters Sunday that they are "close to a deal in Gaza." Hamas said Friday it responded positively to a U.S.-backed ceasefire proposal after Trump said Israel had agreed to a 60-day truce. However, the two sides remain stuck on whether the deal would permanently end the fighting. Hamas wants all Israeli troops to leave Gaza and the war to end completely, while Netanyahu demands Hamas surrender and be eliminated. Meanwhile, fighting continues with at least 80 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes Sunday, according to Gaza health officials. The war has killed over 56,000 people in Gaza since it began after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th, 2023, killing 1,200 people and taking 250 hostages.
