1 President Biden Says It's Time For "A Younger Generation" To Take The Lead

President Joe Biden gave a rare Oval Office address to the nation last night to talk about his decision to withdraw from the 2024 race for president. Speaking for just over 11 minutes, Biden said he felt it was the right decision. “It’s been the honor of my life to serve as president but in the defense of democracy, which is at stake, I think it’s more important than any title,” he said. The president also said he believed his record, leadership, and vision for America “all merited a second term,” but that “nothing can come in the way of saving our democracy. That includes personal ambition, so I’ve decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation.” Biden also addressed what he plans to do with his final six months in office, including continuing his efforts to eradicate cancer. Republicans continue to question his fitness to serve out the remainder of his term, calls that the White House called “ridiculous” earlier yesterday.

2 Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Addresses Congress, Protesters Create Chaos In Washington D.C.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress, but the day wasn’t without its problems. As Netanyahu delivered his remarks, roughly 40 Democratic members of Congress weren’t in attendance at the joint session, including Vice President Kamala Harris, who gave a rally speech instead for her newly-minted presidential campaign. It was the first time the Israeli Prime Minister has addressed Congress in almost 10 years, and he talked about how vital the support of the United States is to Israel’s battle against Hamas. “For the forces of civilization to triumph, America and Israel must stand together,” he said. He also had pointed words for the hundreds of protesters who gathered outside while he was making his speech, saying that they were “Iran’s useful idiots.” The protesters spray-painted graffiti on statues and lowered three US flags to set them on fire, replacing them with Palestinian flags. Capitol Police confirmed that pepper spray was used on some of the protesters, who they say had become violent. Six people were also confirmed to have been arrested in the House galleries during Netanyahu’s speech. Several of those arrested were relatives of hostages in Gaza.

3 "Haley Voters For Harris" PAC Gets Cease And Desist Letter From Nikki Haley

As the presidential race continues to develop, a political action committee called “Haley Voters for Harris” has been working to support Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign. It may surprise you to hear that supporters of Republican Nikki Haley are campaigning for Harris, but even if it doesn’t it certainly came as a surprise to Nikki Haley. In a letter sent on Tuesday by a law firm representing Haley’s campaign, the group was told they must “cease and desist from any unlawful use of Ambassador Haley’s name,” saying she’s “been clear in her support of Harris’ opponent.”
