Democrats have made it abundantly clear how they feel about Americans in the last decade or so. They do nothing to help working Americans, showing almost a disdain. All while coddling illegal immigrants, and vilifying anyone who defies the party.

Hillary Clinton famously called voters for Donald Trump "deplorable," in 2016, and even Joe Biden called Trump voter's "garbage" during the 2020 election cycle. No dissent, no ability to understand someone else's view, and a lack of respect for half the country.

Well, move over Hillary and Joe, because Gavin Newsom has entered the race, and had his "deplorables" moment recently.

In an interview this month, Newsom said he hates anyone who "bends the knee" to President Trump, still trying He even went further, saying he "wants to see trans-kids."

Kurt Schlichter of TownHall.com says Newsom grew up privileged and is akin to James Spader in any 1980s film. He is preppy, rich, spoiled, and used to getting his way.

"He has behaved abominably, and never been held accountable for it," he says. "When he expresses his contempt for normal Americans, it is from the heart."

Newsome comes from a very affluent family that had deep political ties in San Francisco. He was born and raised in a sheltered world where he got his way.

You would think too, with his intent to run for President in 2028, he might regress toward the middle a bit on the political spectrum. Gain back the moderate Democrats who have been fleeing the party, after the nation vehemently rejected Democrats radical ideas last November. The election Kamala Harris, who is just as far Left as Newsom, lost handily.

One would think self-reflection is coming. Instead, he keeps selling the same old snake oil, just in a fancy suit.

"He and Democrats like him do not understand that a country is like a Jenga tower...you pull to many pieces out, you pull too many norms out...it is going to collapse," says Schlichter. "The elites are going to find themselves in trouble, and when they get into trouble, they get desperate and vicious."

Indeed, the Democrats do act vicious when backed into a corner. Even if they backed into the corner and caused the fight themselves. They attack, play victim, and hope people will buy it.

No one is buying it anymore. The same tired schtick has become just that to Americans. Old, tired, dated, and just ineffective. Mostly because there is no real platform for Democrats. It is just bashing President Trump and cast blame for problems they caused.

The biggest thing though that will hurt Newsom is the lack of authenticity. That might play out West, but on the national scale, not so much.

"He appeals to California voters, not because of his personality...but because he is just the Democrats put before them on the ballot," Schlichter says.

Nothing is left to sell and there are no new ideas for Newsom or the Democrats heading into 2028. When you add in what is now his version of Hillary Clinton's "deplorables" moment, the uphill climb to the White House for Newsom will be a steep one.
