1 Two Killed And Suspect Dead In Madison, Wisconsin School Shooting

Two people are dead and six injured after a school shooting at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin late yesterday morning. The suspected shooter, who’s been identified as 15-year-old named Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow, also died from what authorities believe to have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The two victims who were killed included a teacher and a student, and two of the six wounded were in critical condition as of last night. A motive for the shooting is under investigation. Images of Rupnow’s supposed “manifesto” turned up online last night, and Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said the document was still being verified. Barnes did say that the original 911 call to report that someone was shooting people at the school came from a second-grade student at 10:57 am. The incident happened in a study hall with students from multiple grades present. Police arrived at Rupnow’s home in force around 1 pm to search the home; there’s been no word on what, if anything, was found, although police did release that a handgun was found at the scene of the shooting. The FBI is assisting Madison PD with the investigation.

2 Drone Sightings Continue As Trump Weighs In

Sightings of mystery drones continue over the Northeast and around the country, but one of the newest developments is coming from law enforcement, warning people not to take matters into their own hands. FBI Newark Acting Special Agent in Charge Nelson Delgado said yesterday that no one should be firing weapons at airborne objects. “Not only is this act against the law, but it poses an incredible danger to the pilots and passengers on those aircraft.” The FBI and Homeland Security have deployed infrared cameras and drone detection technology in the New York and New Jersey areas to collect information about the drones, which state and local officials say are real…and a real problem. President-elect Donald Trump was asked for his comment about the drones during a press conference yesterday at Mar-a-Lago. “Our military knows, and our president knows, and for some reason they want to keep people in suspense,” Trump said. He continued, “Something strange is going on and for some reason they don’t want to tell the people. And they should.” When asked by a reporter if he’s received an intelligence briefing on the drones, Trump responded with a simple “I don’t want to comment on that.”

3 US Embassy In Syria Urging Citizens To Leave The Country

The situation isn’t improving in Syria, with the State Department and the US embassy in the country warning American citizens to leave the country. The rebels who drove former Syrian President Bashar Assad out of power are building a transitional government, while Assad said in a statement yesterday that he didn’t flee the country, but rather moved to Latakia “in coordination with our Russian allies,” then realized when he arrived that the battle was over in Damascus and the rebels had taken power.
