1 North Korea Calls Biden Admin Plans "Hostile"

North Korean officials call the Biden administration's policies "hostile." On Friday, a statement from the White House said the U.S. is "open to and will explore diplomacy" with North Korea in an effort to achieve the "denuclearization" of the Korean peninsula. North Korea's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Kwon Jung Gun has since released a statement saying the Biden administration is pursuing the same "hostile policy" toward North Korea as has been happening for over 50 years. While there are no indications about what moves the Hermit Kingdom night take, they’re clearly not happy with President Biden. “It is certain that the U.S. chief executive made a big blunder in the light of the present-day viewpoint," Kwon added. "Now that the keynote of the U.S. new DPRK policy has become clear, we will be compelled to press for corresponding measures, and with time the U.S. will find itself in a very grave situation.”

2 Officials Confirm Four Dead, 25 Hospitalize After Boat Capsizes Off San Diego Coast

At least four people are dead and dozens more have been hospitalized after a suspected human smuggling boat capsized off the San Diego coast yesterday. The trawler reportedly ran aground and then, broke apart near Point Loma. Officials say there were around 30 people on the vessel, with over 20 being taken to the hospital. Injuries range from hypothermia to injuries sustained by the boat breaking apart. Those released from the hospital are now in custody – as is the boat captain – who Border Patrol officials say is “talking.” "Every indication from our perspective is that this was a smuggling vessel," said Jeff Stephenson, supervisory Border Patrol agent, who said the boat was "severely overcrowded."

3 Damage Reports From Mississippi Tornado

As weather watchers offered concern about swaths of severe weather touching down in various parts of the country, a tornado has left behind a trail of destruction in northeastern Mississippi. The twister went through Tupelo last night, damaging homes and businesses. There are reports of roofs torn off homes and downed trees and power lines throughout the city. In great news? So far, there are no reports of injuries. But the worries aren’t over – and Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton is asking folks to sit tight as best they can. “Emergency crews are currently assessing the degree of damage,” his office says in Facebook post. “Please do not get out and drive. It is dangerous—-there are reports that power lines are down in the roads. We will update you as soon as we know the extent of damage. Prayers that all are safe, and please keep our crews and first responders in your prayers also.”
