An armed man was arrested after he was seen taking photos and videos of the Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles County over the weekend, authorities said yesterday. The incident happened Sunday, a day before officials announced that President Trump plans to visit the Rancho Palos Verdes property this week for a Republican dinner. Plainclothes federal agents spotted the man walking the grounds, filming, and appearing to watch security planning. Deputies detained him, identified as 38-year-old Jeanine John Taele of Downey, and found a loaded pistol in his car along with extra magazines of hollow-point ammunition. When detectives searched his home the next day, they found more guns and ammunition, body armor, two radio signal devices, and several notebooks containing concerning statements. The man remains in custody, and the case is being reviewed for charges.

3 Man Charged with Arson as Wildfires Burn
Three major wildfires continued to burn more than 10,000 acres in Washington state Tuesday, putting 65,000 people under evacuation orders. On Monday, officials announced the arrest of 37-year-old Aaron F. Farinacci of Spokane on a charge of first-degree arson related to one of the blazes, the Old Trails Fire.
