1 President Trump Says Ukraine Peace Getting "Very Close" After Meeting With Zelenskyy

President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Mar-a-Lago yesterday and said the two countries may be "very close" to reaching a peace deal with Russia. The meeting came after Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin for more than two hours by phone. Trump said the teams have covered about 95-percent of the issues needed to end the war. Zelenskyy said the two sides have agreed on a 20-point peace plan that is about 90-percent complete. Trump said Russia is not willing to agree to a ceasefire right now because Putin does not want to stop fighting and then have to restart later.

2 One Dead, One Critically Injured After Midair Helicopter Collision In New Jersey

One person was killed and another was critically injured after two helicopters crashed into each other in midair yesterday in Hammonton, New Jersey. Police received calls about the crash around 11:25 am; both helicopters crash-landed after the collision, and one of them caught fire. The Federal Aviation Administration said the two aircraft were an Enstrom F-28A and an Enstrom 280C. The collision happened near Hammonton Municipal Airport, and the National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation into what caused the crash.

3 Almost Three Thousand Flights Were Canceled Due To Weather Friday And Saturday

A major winter storm caused airlines to cancel more than a thousand flights on Saturday, with thousands more delayed, after canceling around 17-hundred on Friday. The storm hit the Northeast hard, bringing heavy snow to areas like New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Airports including JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia saw the most cancellations. More than 40 million Americans were under winter storm warnings or advisories. The storm continued to cause problems into yesterday, with more cancellations at airports in the Midwest and Great Lakes region.
