SA Stock Show & Rodeo Commits $12 Million to Texas Education in 2025

SAN ANTONIO, TX — In a bold affirmation of its long-standing mission, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has pledged $12 million to support education in 2025, setting the stage to empower over 20,000 students across Texas.

This latest commitment adds to a legacy of giving that dates back more than four decades. Since 1984, the Rodeo has invested upwards of $279 million in educational initiatives—ranging from scholarships and grants to junior livestock auctions and endowments. It’s a testament to the event’s unwavering support for Texas youth and its broader impact on the state’s agricultural and academic future.

“This educational commitment would not be possible without the support of our community, sponsors, and dedicated patrons,” said Cody Davenport, Executive Director & CEO of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. “We are humbled to help future generations of Texas youth achieve their educational goals.”

Each year, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees and boasts an annual economic impact of over $330 million for the region. But beyond the economic boost, its heart lies in education and youth development—a mission championed by a dedicated team of 7,000 volunteers who help bring the event to life.

Davenport noted the collective effort that makes this impact possible, adding, “The support of San Antonio, Bexar County, the State of Texas, and all those who participate should feel a deep sense of pride. Together, we are investing in the future and making a lasting difference for Texas youth.”

As the Rodeo looks ahead to 2025, it remains a cornerstone institution in Texas—not only celebrating Western heritage and agricultural excellence but also shaping tomorrow’s leaders through education.
