The number of early votes cast in Bexar County in the past week is closing in on 290,000. The county elections office says nearly 48,000 Bexar County ballots were cast on Saturday, a smidge below the daily average of just over 48-thousand. There are 51 early voting locations across the county, in schools, libraries, churches, and community centers. Registered voters can cast their ballots at any polling site during the early voting period, which ends Friday. Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
