A Texas House committee is issuing a subpoena to death row inmate Robert Roberson, whose execution is scheduled for today. The Texas House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence unanimously voted on Wednesday to subpoena Roberson to assist them with their inquiry into his case. Roberson would be the first person in the nation to be executed for a shaken-baby death. Courts have repeatedly rejected his appeals. The House committee's move to forestall the execution is reportedly unprecedented.
