The Texans are parting ways with a veteran offensive playmaker. Houston is trading Cam Akers and a conditional 2026 seventh-round draft pick to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a conditional 2026 sixth-round selection. Akers rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown in six games played for the Vikings last year after being traded from the Los Angeles Rams. The 25-year-old has totaled 147 rushing yards and two total TDs in five games with Houston this season.
