Nearly half of the donations given to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and his challenger Colin Allred by individual donors come from people who don't live in Texas. Campaign finance data say Cruz raised about 9.5-million-dollars during the first six months of this year, and Allred raised about 11-point-5-million. Cruz had more donors who gave less on average than Allred's donors. Allred's campaign is attracting attention from out-of-state Democrats who hope to flip Cruz's seat.
