Plans to build a new baseball stadium in downtown San Antonio are moving forward. Bexar County commissioners voted Tuesday to approve a funding plan for the stadium after receiving what the commissioners called mostly positive input. Critics of the plan are concerned about how the residents currently living in the Soap Factory Apartments will be displaced when those apartments are torn down ahead of construction of the stadium. The vote comes just one week before a deadline imposed by Major League Baseball was to take effect.
