The Astros failed to record a four-game sweep of the Angels. Houston lost to Los Angeles 9-8 in the series finale at Minute Maid Park. Alex Bregman was 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored. Jose Altuve hit his 20th homer of the year in the setback, while Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-2 before departing with a knee contusion. Josh Hader was charged with the loss and his fourth blown save after he allowed four runs in the top of the ninth. The Astros remain atop the AL West at 85-and-71. They remain home to host the Seattle Mariners tonight. Right-hander Hunter Brown is set to start opposite Seattle righty Bryce Miller.
