San Antonio City Council Approves $4B Budget For FY2025

San Antonio City Council is giving the green light to a record budget of nearly $4 billion. Council members on Thursday gave their unanimous approval to the spending plan for fiscal year 2025, which is nearly 6% larger than last year's budget. The new budget calls for additional police officers, firefighters, and Animal Care Services officers, 1,300 homeless camp cleanups, and $122 million for street maintenance. The fiscal year starts on October 1st and continues through September 2025.
