The Texas Comptroller's office says residents of the Lone Star State drank up in July, to the tune of $763 million. That's the total volume of alcohol sales in Texas bars, restaurants, stadiums, and other entertainment venues, and doesn't include retail stores. The top three places to have a drink were Globe Life Field, AT&T Stadium, and Backyard Texas Live!, all in Arlington. The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa was next, followed by Minute Maid Park in Houston. The top 15 venues were rounded out by five in DFW, three in Houston, and one in Austin.
