A bipartisan majority of the Texas House is urging clemency for a man whose execution is scheduled for next month. Robert Roberson was sent to Death Row in 2003 for killing his two-year-old daughter. A number of experts claim the child died of pneumonia, not from Shaken Baby Syndrome. On Tuesday, 86 lawmakers signed a letter asking the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles to recommend clemency. The final decision would belong to Gov. Greg Abbott. Roberson is scheduled to be executed on October 17th.
