The Mavericks are bringing back a member of their bench for the upcoming season. Dallas is signing veteran forward Markieff Morris to a new deal. The 35-year-old averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds through 26 games for the Western Conference champion Mavs last season. Morris will be entering his 14th NBA season after being selected in the first round of the 2011 draft out of Kansas. The journeyman has also spent time with the Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards, Oklahoma City Thunder, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets throughout his career.
