The Bexar County Commissioners Court is giving its unanimous approval to the budget for fiscal year 2024-25. Commissioners voted on Tuesday to adopt the $2.8 billion spending plan, which prioritizes public safety, community policing, infrastructure, and basic city services. For the 30th year in a row, there will be no increase in the property tax rate. The budget adds more than 40 new uniformed positions to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office and includes pay raises for most county employees.
