Some Democratic members of the Texas congressional delegation want the Department of Justice to investigate the state's response to claims of illegal voter registration efforts. In a press call on Wednesday, five Democratic U.S. representatives from Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso complained about raids on the homes of Latino voter-registration advocates. The lawmakers say the raids may have violated Texas voting rights laws.
