The Rangers are in danger of losing their star shortstop for the rest of the season. Texas has placed five-time All-Star Corey Seager on the 10-day injured list due to right hip discomfort. Manager Bruce Bochy said that Seager has been dealing with soreness for around a month. The reigning World Series MVP is batting .278 with 30 home runs and 74 RBIs through 123 games played this year. Texas has promoted outfielder Sandro Fabian from Triple-A Round Rock and moved right-hander Jon Gray to the 60-day IL to make room on the 40-man roster.
