Bexar County officials plan to defy Attorney General Ken Paxton by mailing voter registration forms to all county residents. In a 3-1 vote on Tuesday, the Commissioners Court approved a nearly 400-thousand-dollar plan to mail the forms to unregistered county residents. Harris County leaders are considering a similar plan. Paxton warned both counties on Monday he would sue if they did so. State law allows counties to mail applications only to voters who specifically request them.
