The Texas Rangers were shutout at their home ballpark. Texas lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0 at Globe Life Field. The Rangers were limited to three hits and never had a runner in scoring position. Starting pitcher Cody Bradford was charged with the loss and dropped to 4-and-1 on the season after striking out eight and allowing three runs through seven innings. The Rangers had a two-game win streak snapped to fall to 58-and-69. They host the Pirates this afternoon. Right-hander Andrew Heaney is scheduled to start opposite Pittsburgh righty Domingo German.
