Jerry Jones is confident that his team can come to a contract agreement with star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb before the start of the regular season. The owner of the Dallas Cowboys said that the sides are engaged in "promising talks" regarding a possible contract extension. Jones said that he is optimistic that there will be a deal with the three-time Pro Bowler. Lamb is entering the final year of his rookie deal and is searching for a new contract in the range of the Minnesota Vikings' Justin Jefferson's salary at $35 million per season. Jones also said that contract talks with quarterback Dak Prescott are ongoing.
