The Astros had a three-game win streak snapped. Houston lost to the Boston Red Sox 6-5 at Minute Maid Park. Yainer Diaz and Jon Singleton both homered in the setback, while Chas McCormick and Jeremy Pena each had an RBI. Kaleb Ort was charged with his first loss after letting up one run through two innings of relief. The Astros remain first in the AL West at 68-and-57. They host the Red Sox again this afternoon. Right-hander Justin Verlander is scheduled to start opposite Boston righty Cooper Criswell.
