Texans Speaking At DNC In Chicago This Week

Several Texans are striking a high profile at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week. U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett of DFW spoke Monday on the convention mainstage, and U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar of El Paso will chair the convention proceedings Thursday. U.S. Rep. Colin Allred of Dallas, the latest challenger to Sen. Ted Cruz, will address the Texas delegation at breakfast on Thursday. U.S. Reps. Lizzie Fletcher of Houston, Marc Veasey of Fort Worth, and Greg Casar of Austin will all speak at delegation breakfasts. San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg did so on Monday.
