A school nursing organization in Texas says a doctor's note should be required for over-the-counter medications. The Texas School Nursing Organization proposed the requirement earlier this month, and says the Texas Board of Nursing plans to consider the proposal next week. Some of the items the organization proposes for doctor's notes include Benadryl, Tylenol, sting-kill swabs, rash cream, petroleum jelly, and salt.
