The Longhorns have suffered another blow to their backfield. Texas true freshman running back Christian Clark suffered a torn Achilles tendon during practice. The school announced that Clark will undergo surgery and miss the entire season. The injury comes just six days after it was announced that last year's opening day starter, CJ Baxter, will have season-ending knee surgery. The Longhorns have three scholarship running backs remaining on the roster in Jaydon Blue, Quintrevion Wisner, and Jerrick Gibson.
