Texas House Republicans want State Fair officials to reverse their recent decision to ban all guns from the fairgrounds starting this fall. The policy change was announced last week, following a shooting at last year's fair that wounded three people. More than 70 GOP House members and nominees had signed a petition by noon on Monday saying the new policy needs to go. The lawmakers point out that "gun-free zones" only create safe spaces for people who are up to no good. The State Fair of Texas starts on September 27th in Dallas.
