The Texas State Teachers Association says nearly two-thirds of the state's teachers are thinking of quitting at the end of the current school year. The association collaborated with Sam Houston State University to survey 840 members of the educators' organization. The survey reportedly found that 65% of teachers were considering a change of profession as of last spring. The anonymous respondents said they were unhappy with support for public schools, safety issues, and pay.
