San Antonio's Frost Bank Center made history last night as the venue surpassed all previous concert attendance marks with country music artist Zach Bryan’s performance. With 17,353 paid tickets sold, Bryan’s concert eclipsed the long-standing record of 17,233 set by George Strait at the venue’s inaugural concert 22 years ago on Nov. 2, 2002.
The night before, Bryan’s July 30 concert, part of a two-night stand, achieved the venue’s third-highest attendance mark, trailing only Strait’s legendary 2002 appearance and Harry Styles’ 2021 show.
Bryan’s July 30 show, the first of his two back-to-back performances at Frost Bank Center, now holds the venue’s third highest attendance marks, behind Strait’s 2002 appearance. Harry Styles’ 2021 performance holds the fourth spot, followed by George Strait’s return to the venue in 2006.
“The magic created by Zach Bryan, our incredible fans and our dedicated team, culminating in a record-breaking night, was a dream come true," said Mindy Corr, VP and General Manager at Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “While the numbers are impressive, the true measure of success is in the unforgettable experiences we’ve created for our fans. None of this would have been possible without our incredible staff who worked tirelessly on back-to-back shows to deliver the ultimate experience for all attendees."
Bryan's record-breaking performance is just one of many highlights of Frost Bank Center's 2024 run. The venue has hosted 25 shows with 13 sell-outs and is on track to reach 50 total concerts this year. This follows a strong 2023 season in which over 400,000 people attended 41 concerts and events, marking a 21% increase from 2022. The venue also saw a 13% rise in out-of-town ticket buyers in 2023, drawing fans from Austin, Laredo, Houston, and beyond.
