San Antonio police are investigating a shootout that wounded an officer and left a suspect dead early Sunday. Officers responded around 3:15 a.m. to a report of domestic violence at an apartment complex on Patricia Drive. The suspect reportedly started firing a rifle at three officers, who returned fire before leaving the apartment. One officer was shot several times and is hospitalized in unknown condition. The suspect was dead at the scene. It's not yet known if he shot himself. His female victim wasn't seriously hurt.
