The Astros failed to sweep the Mariners. Houston lost to Seattle 6-4 in the finale of a three-game set at T-Mobile Park. Yordan Alvarez hit for the cycle for the first time in his career, ending the game 4-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Chas McCormick and Jeremy Pena also had an RBI. Starting pitcher Ronel Blanco was charged with the loss and is now 9-and-5 after allowing four runs through five-and-two-thirds innings. The Astros are atop the AL West at 52-and-47. They visit the Oakland Athletics tonight. Right-hander Spencer Arrighetti will start opposite Oakland southpaw Hogan Harris.
