A Texas-based cybersecurity firm is being blamed for massive IT outages - grounding flights and grinding businesses to a halt. It's all because of an update issued from Austin-based CrowdStrike. Overnight, the FAA confirmed a number of major airlines were forced to issue a ground stop because of ongoing communication issues. That's led to hundreds of cancellations already. In New York City, there have also been some reports of 911 operators having trouble accessing information, although basic services remain operational. And its not just limited to the U.S. The security update blamed for all the chaos, even though it's now been rolled back, is affecting communications systems worldwide.
