Relatives of victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting in 2018 are upset over a letter from the US Department of Justice. On behalf of the families, retired Secret Service agent Mike Matranga, a school security expert, asked the DOJ for an independent investigation of the shooting. Several Texas elected officials backed his request. A letter in reply from the DOJ doesn't mention Santa Fe, referring instead to their requested investigation of the Columbine shooting. The unsigned letter then passes the buck to the FBI.
