One piece of Dallas' dynamic backcourt duo is recovering from offseason hand surgery. Mavericks star Kyrie Irving has undergone surgery to repair a broken left hand. He sustained the injury earlier this month while training. The team did not say when Irving will be able to resume basketball activities. The 32-year-old averaged 25.6 points, 5.2 assists and five rebounds in 58 games last season while helping lead the Mavs to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2011.
