Rangers Defeat Angels For Fifth Straight Win

The Texas Rangers notched their fifth straight win with a 5-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim. Adolis Garcia scored the tiebreaking run with a solo homer in the eighth inning. Josh Smith had a strong day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Jose Leclerc earned his fourth win in relief, while Kirby Yates recorded his 14th save. The Rangers are third in the AL West at 44-and-48. Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe hit two solo homers in the setback. Luis Garcia was charged with his first loss after letting up one run in relief. The Angels have lost three in-a-row to sit at 37-and-54.
